New weapons

Hello,

Ok this thread is to let run your imagination. We are not talking here of new propreties, but real new weapons type. Existing one are short sword, bastart sword, great axe, spear, long sword ect

Simply complet the doc and if your weapon look fair and legy, we could discuss on adding it. We are only talking of base item, not additional propreties.

As example, here the halberd :

Name : Halberd
Base Damage: 1d10

Weapon Size: Large (2 hands)
Feats Required: Martial
Size in inventory : 2x5

I'm a bit confused. Do you want us to give suggestions for new weapons? For example a mercurial greatsword or a sap?

I'm also a bit confused.. how would there be feats for these weapons with no hak? If you just want more weapons and feats too, the CEP has plenty.. http://nwn.wikia.com/wiki/CEP_weapon. Or you could use their weapons for whatever you are thinking.

Of fun note for this is the heavy pick, a 1d6 onehander with x4 crit, and the katar, a finessable x3 crit onehander ^ ^

Edit: Nevermind, even the CEP weapons don't have feats.. so ya confused xD

By editing 2da I can add new weapons type to the game without hack.

I can also change existing weapons base stats to make them more usefull.

And you don't have problems adding new weapons to feats? Like weapon focus, imp crit, etc., and what about GMW, DF spells?

I don't really see the point in this when pretty much every meaningful crit range and multiplier combination already exists as it is (within reason, we definitely do not need x4 finessable weps or 19-20 x3 weapons imo). And without some really major changes to base weapon damage (not a good idea, again imo) nobody will prioritize it over the crit range.

yeah i'm not entirely sure why we need new base weapons.

though i have a small suggestion to be able to change weapon effects on weapons via commands
maybe like,

!wpev = evil effect.
!wpco = cold effect.
!wpso = sonic effect
!wpel = electric effect.
!wpfi = fire effect.
!wpac = acid effect.
!wpho = holy effect.
